Co-hosted with Tay Tay’s Café
Join us for an afternoon of chess, creativity, and connection. In collaboration with the vibrant Tay Tay’s Café, this edition of our Chess & Coffee Series will feature live acoustic performance. Sip on Tay Tay’s signature lattes, enjoy homemade pastries, or unwind with an alcoholic beverage while you play. All ages and skill levels are welcome—just bring your love for the game.
Knights with Veterans
Join us for an evening of connection and community at Steady Flow Growler, a proud veteran-owned business. In collaboration with Veterans Beer Club Spokane, this Chess & Community event is designed to bring veterans, their families, and friends together over good games and great craft beer.

Dual Rated Chess Tournament
We are bringing to you an action-packed USCF dual rated tournament on September 21. Three intense rounds at G/30 d5 where every move counts. Two sections, Under 1500 and 1500 plus, with prizes based on entries. Registration runs from 12:00 to 12:25 and round one starts sharp at 12:30. Only 24 players will be accepted, so register early, secure your seat, and don’t miss your chance to prove yourself over the board.

Join us for an evening of strategy, community, and celebration at the grand opening of Spokane brand-new chess tables, provided by the Greater Spokane Chess League!
Chess at Riverfront, hosted by local chess enthusiasts Blitz and Blunders and the Greater Spokane Chess League, will feature beginner-friendly lessons, playful chess-inspired games, casual free play, live music, and more. To make the night even better, enjoy delicious Filipino street food and refreshing drinks from Kape Cha as you play, learn, or cheer others on.
Whether you are discovering how the knight moves or refining your strategy, this relaxed drop-in chess social is open to all ages and skill levels. Boards and pieces will be provided—just bring your curiosity and game face. Tri-Cities Rapid Tournament
Tri-Cities, get ready for an intense day of chess battles! Our outdoor Rapid Chess Tournament is back, and with a G/10;d5 time control, every second will push players to the edge. This isn’t just casual play! it’s fast, tactical, and unforgiving. One miscalculation could cost the game, and every move will feel like a high-stakes duel. Whether you’re fighting for glory or proving your dominance on the board, expect fierce competition, sharp tactics, and adrenaline from the first move to the last checkmate.

Anniversary Fundraiser @ Manito Park

This 5-round G/10; d5 event offers two sections: Rated ($10 entry, USCF ID required) and Unrated ($5 entry, no membership needed). All entry fees go into the prize pot—so the more players, the bigger the winnings! No pre-registration needed; just walk in, play, and enjoy a day of fast-paced chess, community vibes, and a chance to win cash prizes.
